Item 7.2.2 -  Appointments of Mayor and Council Members to "Other Agencies and Commissions" paid and unpaid including the OC Fire Authority's Board of Directors - There is a form 806 page in the staff Reports - 4th document in the list dated 6/11/2012 and signed by City Manager Channing stating that Joel Lautenschleger, who will no longer be a Laguna Hills council member, has been appointed to the OC Vector Control for  4 years as of 12-13-12 and to the Southern CA. Assoc. of Governments for 2 years as of 12-13-12 and will be paid $120 per meeting for attending both. This same page also shows that Council Members Bressette and Carruth were already appointed to paid positions on 12-13-12 - Bressette appointed to the OCFA for an undefined period for $100 per meeting and Carruth appointed to the OCTA for a year for $120 per meeting. This page of appointments was signed by City Manager Bruce Channing and dated 06-11-12. This document can be seen at the City web site online at: http://permits.ci.laguna-hills.ca.us/sirepub/mtgviewer.aspx?meetid=118&doctype=AGENDA in the Staff Report for this item under the Dec. 11, 2012 City Council Meeting Agenda Under Item 7.2.2 the 4th document- Agency Report of Public Official Appointments. There are questions here related to these appointments being made earlier in the year rather than now when they are scheduled and a bigger question related to an ex-city council member being appointed again to paid positions that have previously been filled by city council members.
