HEADLINES/ ITEMS OF POSSIBLE INTEREST for the Tuesday April 10, Laguna Hills City Council Meeting

**Consider Attending a Council Meeting to express your opinion on items of interest to you or just to observe.

 ** Special Announcement - *** There will be a SPECIAL PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING regarding the WIDENING of PASEO de VALENCIA from Kennington Dr. to Laguna Hills Dr. on the LAGUNA HILLS SIDE of the ROAD ONLY, in the City Council Chambers at City Hall
On Monday, April 16, from 5 pm to 7 pm.


Although notices of this meeting were sent only to occupants who live within 500 feet of this planned project, this meeting is open to all interested residents. This is the 1st phase of a planned future widening of Paseo de Valencia.

1.  The Price for the City's 4th of July celebration at the Community center this year is expected to increase from $42,697 in 2011 to $53,750 in 2012.

2. The AT&T request to add 2 additional microwave dish antennas to the existing Communications Facility located at 25655 Nellie Gail Rd. is back with testing results re. citizen concerns about safety issues. 

3. The City's Adopted 3/5 Marines Support Group, Team Dark Horse is asking for donated items for the Saturday, April 21 Community Swap Meet at Laguna Hills High School.  the Swap Meet raises funds for all the school activities and for Team Dark Horse to use to Support our City's Adopted 3/5 Marines at Camp Pendleton. **Please help the Marines and/or the High School by bringing all your donated items to the High School before 6:45 am on Sat. April 21 for the high school groups and the Laguna Hills Adopted 3/5 Marines and please attend the Swap Meet to find all the great bargains. 4.  Council Member Kogerman is asking the council to direct staff to prepare a resolution enacting a fee that is equal to 1% of gross revenues to be paid by Cox Communications, the States Video Franchise Holder operating in the City to be used to support Public Educational and Government (PEG) Channel facilities and equipment at Laguna Hills High School to enhance its film and television program.

5.  Closed Session Conferences with Labor Negotiator Daniel Cassidy, re. the City Manager's Terms and Conditions of Employment continue.
