HEADLINES/ ITEMS OF POSSIBLE INTEREST for the Tuesday April 24, Laguna Hills City Council Meeting

1.  Weed Abatement Program from the City - Approximately 530 notices will be sent to residents on April 26. It is the beginning of fire season, so be sure to clear your property of weeds and/or any refuse. 

2.  Authorization for bids for city pavement rehabilitation. Is your street on this years list? See maps with names of streets scheduled for rehab. this year on the City web site in the staff report for this issue.

3.  Adding Reasonable Accommodation for Persons with Disabilities to the Laguna Hills Municipal Code.

4.  Public Hearing for Remodel and Expansion of the Moulton-La Paz Shopping Center

5.  The City staff report requested by the City Council on March 27, 2012 for Sidewalk Widening on the Southeast section of La Paz from Champlain to Paseo de Valencia where the sidewalk is too narrow and there is a slope failure, from no retaining wall, encroaching onto that sidewalk has come back. It gives the City Council 3 choices related to correction of this safety issue.  

6.  No Closed Session Conference with Labor Negotiator Daniel Cassidy, re. the City Manager's Terms and Conditions of Employment is scheduled this time but no report on the progress of these sessions that have been  ongoing for the past 7 months, since Sept. 27 of 2011 are scheduled either?
